It’s amazing how David responds to the Amalekite who claimed to have killed Saul and to Rechab and Baanah who murdered Ish-bosheth in his bed. Despite the rage of war, David refused to celebrate the death of his opponents, even putting to death the individuals who treated his enemies disrespectfully.
