More genealogies.  It is interesting how God includes little glimpses into some the lives we go whizzing past, maybe not enough for a full character study, but just enough to remind us that these were real people with real lives and that they were a part of His plan.

Today’s Reading: 1 Chronicles 1-2
The interleaving of Chronicles with Samuel and Kings makes since when you know that an older name for Chronicles (“Paralipomenon”) means “supplements”. Chronicles provides supplemental and supporting information for Samuel and Kings. Today’s reading is basically a detailed genealogy from Adam through to David.
